Bacolod City, Philippines – The city of Bacolod is set to host a three-day Chicken Inasal Festival starting today, from May 26 to 28, 2023. The festival will feature various activities, including a Chicken Inasal grilling competition, a chicken inasal cook-off, and a chicken inasal awards ceremony.

The festival will kick off on Friday, May 26, with a chicken inasal grilling competition at North Capitol Road. The competition will feature 80 participants who will compete to grill the best chicken inasal. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of PHP 100,000.

On Saturday, May 27, the festival will host a chicken inasal cook-off at the Manokan Country. The cook-off will feature 15 barangays competing to create the best chicken inasal dish. The winner of the cook-off will receive a cash prize of PHP 50,000.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, May 28, with a chicken inasal awards ceremony at the SM Atrium. The awards ceremony will honor the best chicken inasal restaurants in Bacolod.

The Chicken Inasal Festival is a celebration of Bacolod’s signature dish. Chicken inasal is a grilled chicken dish that is marinated in a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and spices. It is a popular dish in Bacolod and is considered one of the best in the Philippines.
